PETA very moo-ved by Mercedes' gesture

Mercedes-Benz has agreed to offer “leather-free” versions of all its luxury cars because the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals threatened to protest.

PETA is happy, because they say that the skins of four to 15 cows are needed for each car.

Thanks to PETA, here’s how the animal friendly version will work:

Mercedes bypasses the cow, using instead synthetic materials. Then, the happy cow wanders off, PETA toasts another victory and leaves town. Then cow gets slaughtered for beef, and the skin is thrown in the garbage.
