CNN has become the first cable network to accept ads for distilled spirits, otherwise known as “booze”, “hooch”, or “the reason I drove into that telephone pole.”

The first commercial, a spot for Grey Goose vodka, aired last night. It could just be me, but after I watched the ad a couple of times, Candy Crowley started lookin’ pretty good!

The ads, of course, must include a message about responsible drinking– Because when you think “responsible”, you think “vodka”… at least until you get your friend in a headlock while mumbling “I love ya you lil’ sumbitch!”
