My three kids have been sick, my wife had pneumonia last week, and now I’m trying to get over the flu bug. My house looks like a casting call for “Outbreak II”. After this post, I’ll take the rest of the night off, but first I just noticed a story that falls under the “you can’t miss what you never had” category.
J.D. Power conducted a survey on airline satisfaction, and Northwest Airlines was last out of eleven airlines.
When I fly, it’s out of Lansing, Michigan, to Detroit, then to wherever– which are Northwest connections, so I’ve never flown anything but Northwest. I’ve never had any particular complaint about Northwest, but now I’m staring to wonder what I’m missing out on. What’s the deal on the other airlines? Free drinks in coach when you fly United? On Delta, can you cash in your frequent flyer miles for lap dances or something?
The J.D. Power survey rated airlines in five categories — check-in/ boarding/departing process, flight reservation/scheduling process, aircraft interior, in-flight amenities and flight crew.
The survey left out the most important category: “Not crashing”. Northwest hasn’t failed me yet, so I don’t care what J.D. Power says, as far as I’m concerned, Northwest is #1.
