A Federal Appeals Court upheld a judge’s ruling that says Terri Schiavo’s feeding tube will not be reinserted.
Get this from the ruling: Terri’s family “failed to demonstrate a substantial case on the merits of any of their claims.”
Meanwhile, Michael Schiavo said that his “wife” wouldn’t want to be kept alive in that manner, but has no– zero, zilch, el zippo– written proof or corroborating witnesses claiming that to be the case.
So, Michael Schiavo, a man who makes Mr. Haney from Green Acres seem on the up-and-up by comparison, gets his way.
The ACLU, of course, weighed in. “What this judge did is protect the freedom of people to make their own end-of-life decisions without the intrusion of politicians.”
What the court did is uphold the right of rogue husbands with agendas to get unwanted women out of the way.
Where are the feminists? Where are the liberals who make a living claiming to treasure the rights of the disabled? Most likely trying to figure out how to cover the fact that they do indeed think that people like Terri Schiavo are worthless, and hoping all the controversy blows over before they’re forced to offer an explanation.
Mary Schindler said after the ruling, “Please, senators, for the love of God, I’m begging you, don’t let my daughter die of thirst.”
Dying a slow painful death, and parents crippled with grief and desperation. Yeah, that’s what “Terri would have wanted.”
Thanks to the courts, all we as Americans can do now is to pray to God that nobody ever loves us as much as Michael Schiavo loves Terri.
