Can we send the First Lady of Kenya to the New York Times office?

Lucy Kibaki, who is the wife of Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki, went into the newsroom of the largest newspaper in Kenya and demanded the arrest of reporters she considers biased. In addition, Kibaki arrived with her bodyguards and ordered her security men, who are police officers, to prevent anyone from leaving the newsroom and to confiscate the reporters’ mobile telephones. One cameraman said she slapped him, Sean Penn style.

Can somebody bring Lucy Rodham Kibaki to the New York Times offices? Or maybe introduce her to Helen Thomas?

Oh, by the way, this happened on “World Press Freedom Day”. Some days, the blog posts write themselves.
