Elaine writes in concerning today’s column, “From casket to soapbox“:

You must have missed the part where Sheehan and others said they don’t want anymore to die like her son. There is nothing we can do for the dead but we can fight like hell to keep more of them from dying in this “noble cause”.

Okay, in as few words as possible, here’s my point on this…

Cindy Sheehan’s son seemed to think it was a noble cause, and he’s the one who’s dead. To use his death as an antiwar statement is to discredit his beliefs and judgment, not to mention his intellect. It seems like somebody wouldn’t want to do that to their son, but hey, that’s just my opinion.
