"It's a bird, it's a plane, it's…what the hell is that?"

Frequent commenter Ken has an interesting idea for those of us who routinely gather here ’round the ol’ blogger cooler– form our own group of super heroes. Could be interesting. I haven’t done that since I created the “Stupor-Friends“, the democrat band not-so-super heroes. Here’s part of Ken’s proposal:

I’m inviting Earl to help me form a super-hero group known as the “Powers Rangers”. We will swoop down to protect truth, justice and the American way! I’ll have to consult with Doug as to how he’ll finance us, and get estimates on the cost of capes.

I have only one request, Ken. As for costumes, no capes or tights on a group called the “Powers Rangers” please. Not unless we plan to hold our “secret meetings” at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village and use our ability to fly almost exclusively so as to be on time for the 10 p.m. performance of “Rent” at the Broadway Theater.

Other than that, I’m all for the idea. Let’s discuss it over baked Alaska and a non-fat mochaccino latte .

We won’t be the first, though.
