Yesterday, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed legislation saying that taxpayers will no longer have to pay for impotency drugs for hardened…er, convicted, criminals– namely, sex offenders. No word yet on what, if any, direct impact this will have on Charlie Sheen.

If anything sums up California, it’s that somebody actually thought it would be a good idea to supply impotency drugs to sex offenders. The words “Taxpayer supplied Viagra” should just replace the Hollywood sign. Come to think of it, they can leave the “wood” part.

California’s probably not alone, though. I wonder how many states do this.

Typical bureaucratic governmental lunacy– but then again, this is from a breed of people who invest our tax money in tobacco stocks and use the dividends to buy ads to tell us not to smoke.

Hopefully The Governator will come up with a plan to see to it these sex offenders get horny as little as possible– something like taking away the hard-on meds and ordering all other Californians to wear something that dramatically decreases the sex drive of these perverts. Something like a t-shirt with Bea Arthur’s picture on it should do the trick:
