School offers Physical Education online — Computer class to meet in weight room

The Minneapolis school system is allowing students to take physical education classes online.

Let me guess as to the reasoning behind this– it will allow the kids to take P/E and Sex-ed all at at once, saving time and tax dollars?

Hopefully this doesn’t catch on, because it’ll render extinct the beloved gym teacher. What will extremely overweight guys with whistles around their necks do for a living? After all, there isn’t much call in the private sector for dodgeball referees and shower monitors, if you don’t count freelance employees at Barney Frank’s parties.
