Five-star hotel opens in Kabul, Afghanistan — ::boom:: — Make that one-star

Just kidding with the last part of that headline… for now.

Afghanistan sure has come a long way since I went on a fake vacation there years ago.

The Kabul Serena Hotel has opened in Afghanistan, and is that country’s first five-star hotel. It has 177 rooms which run anywhere from $250-$1,200 a night. Sure it’s about as pricey as New York City, but can The Big Apple offer this view?

I can’t wait for the commercials from the Afghanistan Travel Bureau:

“I’m Mohammad Bodet, and we’ll leave the plight on for ya.”

Note: My first book, “‘Because That’s the Way God Decided to Do It!’ – A conservative father fields confusing questions from his confused kids about a confusing world – Inadequate explanations of politics, parenting, economics, war, technology, and the future of the human race” is now available in paperback or as a downloadable Ebook. Click here to buy directly from Booklocker. It’s also available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

I’ve set up a page containing short samples from each chapter. Click here for chapter samples.
