Reader email: activists opposing the death penalty, but only for the “right” (or should I say “left”) people?

Just got this from Laura Z. regarding today’s column, “Celebrity activists lose their Crip on reality”:

Can you tell me how many of the celebrities you mention were vocally opposed to Tanya Faye Tucker’s death?

Now that you mention it, I don’t recall the anti capital punishment Hollywood bunch circulating a petition to keep authorities from forcing Timothy McVeigh to mainline battery acid either.

Maybe if McVeigh would have written a children’s book speaking of the evils of blowing up federal buildings, that would have somehow “redeemed” him in the eyes of the Hollywood left, but I highly doubt it.

Note: My first book, “‘Because That’s the Way God Decided to Do It!’ – A conservative father fields confusing questions from his confused kids about a confusing world – Inadequate explanations of politics, parenting, economics, war, technology, and the future of the human race” is now available in paperback or as a downloadable Ebook. Click here to buy directly from Booklocker. It’s also available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

I’ve set up a page containing short samples from each chapter. Click here for chapter samples.
