If you thought Hitler and Stalin were the most murderous dirtbags ever to walk the planet, think again. China’s Chairman Mao’s policies led to the deaths of around 77 million of his countrymen.
What caused this? Like all Marxist politicians, and a lot of others of varying socialist/communist visionary philosophy, Mao had a grand vision for the future– a “great leap forward” as he called it. It was a great leap forward for millions– right off a cliff.
Among many revelations in the above book, Mao first contemplated his “Many child left behind” program as a teenager working in a Hunan bodega, and once penned an unreleased musical entitled “If they could see me Mao”
