Tookie Williams executed — Scott Peterson distraught, stops work on his children’s book

The Penn was not mightier than the needle.

Despite the best efforts of Sean Penn (left, outside San Quentin as Tookie’s hours ticked away) and other activists including many Hollywood doofuses and civil rights camera whores, the convicted quadruple murderer was executed last night.

Activists said that Williams’ anti-gang work, including books and articles, since founding the Crips and killing four people had meant he “redeemed” himself. Williams had claimed his innocence in the murders, so what he redeemed himself from is the big question for Mike Farrell, Ed Asner, Jesse Jackson, Snoop Dogg, et al.

At the time of this writing, the websites in support of Williams, “” and “” are down. Either the traffic was so heavy that it crashed, or Tookie’s supporters don’t see the need to keep shelling out a few bucks a month for the bandwidth.

After learning that being an author of children’s books still didn’t spare Tookie Williams from the consequences of his actions, Scott Peterson reportedly stopped writing his kids’ book– working title: “Daddy buys a boat”
