Al-Jazeera airs video from al-Zawahri who say U.S. is losing the war in Iraq — John Murtha blurts out “See? Told ya!”

Al-Jazeera television is continuing to pursue their goal of becoming the Nickelodeon of nutcases and the ESPN of STFU.

The network just aired a taped message from Al Qaeda’s deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahri (left, with Bin Laden, who together look more like a couple who showed up to take advantage of the new marital laws in Massachusetts than terrorist masterminds). Al-Zawahri claimed that Bush’s announcement that troops may begin to be withdrawn from Iraq as early as this year is proof that the U.S. has lost the war there.

Where have we heard something similar to this before? Oh yes, from Democrats in the U.S. Congress. It’s good to know that Al Qaeda and the American left– one a backward culture with antiquated ideals, and the other Islamic terrorists– can agree. Democrats are right when they say they’re better at “bringing people together”.

What’s really amazing is that al-Zawahri hasn’t promoted himself up from that “deputy leader” title in the wake of the long absence of Bin Laden, via an Al Haig sort of proclamation. That this hasn’t happened is probably the most convincing evidence that Bin Laden is indeed alive and probably maintaining cover by posing as a convenience store clerk.

How Al-Jazeera gets all that exclusive video
