Yesterday’s WorldNetDaily column, “A contraceptive for Wal-Mart“, garnered plenty of emails, most of which were lucid and well thought out. None, however, were as good as this one from somebody who didn’t sign the letter, but his email address had the words “GypsyTim” in it. We’ll just call him “Goober” to be safe and protect his anonymity:

What’s a little deception in the name of partisan politics? Apparently not much for Doug Powers who deceitfully pretends to write about Walmart, but really uses it as a ruse to go on and on and on and on with a diatribe about Senator Ted Kennedy. Boy, can these Conservative Republicans nurse a 35-year grudge!

Senator Kennedy became irrelevant years ago and only remains in the spotlight because of the malice and spite of men like Doug Powers who bristle at every little slight or disagreement. Life is too damned short to spend it holding grudges and rensentments. Get a grip and switch to decaf.

I love the ones who write to me and think they’re writing to the editor, but that aside… The fact that Ted wants to federalize business, starting with Wal-Mart and “big oil”, and is a U.S. Senator, makes him anything but irrelevant.

Really though, whether or not Ted is relevant or not is more of a question for Mary Jo Kopechne’s family. I wonder what their answer would be.
