To Pierce Brosnan’s house they came, arm in arm, to protest — Halle Berry, Darryl Hannah, Cindy Crawford, Jane Seymour, Ted Danson, Dick Van Dyke, Tea Leoni, and many more.

What’s the problem? A natural gas facility is being planned 14 miles offshore, far enough away so the workers won’t have to see Nick Nolte naked and confused on the Malibu beach.

Here’s the really ironic part:

The company seeking to build the terminal says it would provide a reliable source of low-polluting energy. But opponents say this terminal and others planned off the California coast won’t meet clean air requirements and could be terrorist targets.

Now they’re concerned with terrorism?

Last summer, I wrote this about the Hollywood left and terrorism, and it still stands:

The only way Dreyfuss, Reiner, Asner, et. al, will ever agree there is “the need” for military action will be the day Chinese tanks are rolling up Pacific Coast Highway to set up camp in every foyer in Malibu, or it’s discovered that al-Qaida has hatched a plot to hijack planes and fly them into Spago.

I’m glad to see that things haven’t changed. I’d hate for Hollywood to become unpredictable.
