Monday’s Column: A Monument-al Shame

Last week, when Paul Tibbets, Jr., who piloted the Enola Gay which dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, died, I read that he requested no memorial service and no headstone.

Why? Tibbets didn’t want his gravesite to become a gathering place for protesters. Read more about the misguided nature of a few activists and reporters that led to a hero not wanting a memorial in “Headstone for Tibbets.”

You can give the column a “Digg” here.
