Associated Press Correction of the Day

If they get stuff like this wrong, I’m going to start doubting the accuracy of their war reports:

GAUHATI, India (AP) – In a Nov. 13 story, The Associated Press incorrectly reported that Paris Hilton was praised by conservationists for highlighting the problem of binge-drinking elephants in northeastern India. Lori Berk, a publicist for Hilton, said she never made any comments about helping drunken elephants in India.

Hilton was in fact not praised by conservationists, but she is expected to be praised by the elephant she wakes up next to this morning at the Hyatt in Calcutta — at least until she finds out that Dumbo did all her coke (“note to self; never do blow with an elephant”).
