Every now and then I have a column in the local paper here in mid-Michigan, the Lansing State Journal.

Today’s piece is about voting blocs. The “new” bloc being courted by politicians in this election cycle is “unmarried women.” In this column I highlight the fragmenting of voters in the past couple of decades into nice, neat little “blocs” — where it’s been, where it is, and where it might be leading.

Give a read to “To politicians, regular folk are just a bunch of bloc-heads” for the whole story.
