Take the Hillary Challenge: If Bill’s First Lady, What Should He Be Called?

nullHillary Clinton was on the Tyra Banks show — a program I’m as likely to watch as “America’s Next Top Accountant” — so I missed it.

On the show, Hillary likened the White House to prison. Hardly surprising, as for the eight years the Clintons occupied the place there were so many felons coming and going you’d think Hillary had invested $100 in soap-on-a-rope futures.

But then Hillary issued a challenge. I really wish she wouldn’t make the mockery this easy:

Banks also wanted to know what Clinton’s husband would be called if she won. “He will always be Mr. President,” Clinton said. “But now we need to do a nationwide contest for a name.”

Here in Michigan, we have a female governor, and her husband is referred to as the “First Gentleman,” but that wouldn’t really apply in this instance.

Since the job of being the spouse of the president often entails leading a contingency to greet the families of visiting foreign dignitaries, how about “Head Receiver”?
