Monday Notes: New Column, New Server, New Blogroll Addition

Another Monday is underway. The site has been transferred to a new server, so if you notice anything quirky, chances are it’s being addressed. Hopefully the end result is a lot faster load time. Thanks to Mike Lasalle at MensNewsDaily (who hosts this site) for all his help.

I have a new column at WorldNetDaily, entitled “American Idol vs. American politics,” in which I point out the eerie similarities between the two competitions. You can “Digg” the column by clicking here.

Also, if you look to the lower left, you’ll see a new site on the blogroll called “Steep Thinking.” Dan Steep is a writer, humorist, former standup comedian and fellow Irishman who lives in the belly of the beast, San Francisco.

I’ve known Dan for many years and he’s about the funniest writer I’ve ever encountered. I worked with him writing topical jokes for George Carlin’s and on other projects. Twisted, odd, quirky and he can turn a phrase like no other.

Dan was out of the game for a while, but fortunately he’s back at it. As his site builds, be sure to check out his fantastic fiction and non-fiction, and he’s also got a blog started. All I can say is “this should be interesting!”

If you do one thing today, read some of Dan’s best work. “Wonderfully different” doesn’t come close to summing it up.

His main page is here (in that picture, he’s the one on the left… I think…).

Have a good Monday, all!
