Lose Gracefully? Hillary? Nevah!

I’ve heard more than one talking head on television speak of Hillary’s lack of grace after losing a primary. “She didn’t congratulate Senator Obama but rather moved on to the next state without saying a word.”

Why is that? As Rich Lowry points out in “By any means necessary,” the Clintons entire lives are designed to only do things that forward their agenda. There’s no room for “grace” of any genuine sort, and there’s no point in congratulating Obama on his wins because, in doing so, there’s nothing in it for Hillary.

I’m not falling for the “Hillary’s finished” talk that Dick Morris and others are pushing. Even if Hillary goes into the Dem convention with fewer delegates than Obama, the smart money is that she’ll come out the winner. They didn’t steal all those FBI files for nothin’.

If the convention is brokered, it will also boil down to who the wealthy party ops with delegate authority and personal agendas for the next four years believe will be the candidate who will be the easiest to bribe or blackmail. If it comes to that, Hillary can start measuring for curtains in the Oval Office.

At least it’ll be fun to finally have the first political convention in decades that actually means something. That it will be liberal Democrats eating each other alive will be added entertainment.
