Floridians Upgraded to ‘Postal Employee’ Status

Florida lawmakers have passed a “take your guns to work” law.

The law says you can take a gun to work with you if the weapon is licensed, but you have to leave it locked in your car. Essentially Florida just increased the number of people who are going to be shot while fumbling with their keys trying to get into their cars.

Also, the law doesn’t include schools — which is where most innocent people are shot by freaks who don’t seem to care whether or not it’s legal to take a gun to a school.

You’d think Democrats would be happy that a lot of hands are still tied by the new law, but that’s not the case:

“This [the “take your gun to work law”] is an attempt to trample upon the property rights of property owners and attempt to make it more difficult to protect the workers in a workplace and those who visit our retail establishments,” said Sen. Ted Deutch, a Boca Raton Democrat.

If you want to make a Democrat suddenly give a damn about private property rights, call for broader gun rights. It’s a “win-win” if you ask me.
