An Obama rally on Monday in Detroit drew sharp criticism from Muslims. Barack’s staff is apparently refusing to allow their candidate to be photographed near any people who appear to be Muslim.
Obama apologized, claiming his staff mistook one of the women for the Reverend Wright, but that still wasn’t enough to placate Muslim activists.
As a result, the Council on American-Islamic Relations asked Obama to appear at a campaign event with the two women he dissed, Hebba Aref and Shimaa Abdelfadeel.
Obama has not only complied with CAIR’s request, but he even invited the two Muslim women to Washington, DC to appear in a photo-op with him. Look carefully:
Hopefully Obama’s olive branch to CAIR helps put this controversy to rest.
