The Vast Wright Wing Conspiracy

Trinity United — the church where Barack Obama was a 20-year member but never realized what went on there, and where Reverend Wright preaches that the U.S. government intentionally infected the African-American community with the HIV virus among many other things — has received at least $15 million in federal grant money from the U.S. government in the past 15 years.

So… Wright’s argument is that the government has been coating the money with AIDS before sending it to Trinity?

Of course, every penny of that money, which was taken from you and me and sent to this collection of wingnuts and scam artists, goes to daycare and anti-poverty programs. Uh huh… every penny.

Below is a picture of the $1.6 million, 10,000 square foot home Trinity United (or, most likley you and me) is building for Reverend Wright. My guess is this isn’t being paid for with the scraps that are thrown in the collection plate every Sunday:

Beware the Peeping E.T. in Colorado!

A couple of nights ago, Larry King had on a man who claims that he has a tape which clearly shows an extraterrestrial creature of some sort peeking through his window.

Here’s the first five minutes of that interview, along with the funniest re-creation of a peeping E.T. you’ll ever see:

I can certainly empathize with this man, because I had an alien peek in my window once, and it was the most frightening thing I’ve ever witnesed:

For Low Taxes, Vote Franken/Olbermann ’08

nullThere’s no easy way to admit this, but I want Al Franken to run for president, and I want Keith Olbermann to be his running mate.

Why? Because I’m a low tax guy, and so are these two.

First, Minnesota Senate candidate, Al Franken, proved that he doesn’t like taxes, and now Keith Olbermann is doing the same. Keith’s such a conservative on taxes that he’s racked up over $100,000 in back taxes and penalties.

No wonder liberals like this don’t mind shilling for democrats who are going to increase taxes — because they know they have no intention of paying them.

Monday’s Column: Does Somebody Owe Joseph Goebbels an Apology?

Today’s column at WorldNetDaily revolves around the new book by former Bush Press Secretary, Scott McClellan, coupled with the “Bush is Hitler” ravings we’ve heard for years from the Bush haters.

One allegation McClellan makes in the book is that Bush ran a “propaganda campaign” as far as the war is concerned. Since it was McClellan who told us these things day in and day out for his entire tenure as Press Secretary, then this would make him a “minister of propaganda” of sorts.

A few days ago while watching a story about McClellan’s book, I also ran across another silly “Bush is Hitler” comparison. It occurred to me that, if Bush is Hitler, then Scott McClellan is Joseph Goebbels.

Are these valid comparisons? Read “Bush, Hitler and sellout weasels” for the whole story.

You can give it a “Digg” here.

Have a good Monday all, if such a thing is possible.

Email update: Bush not feelin’ the love

Frank from parts unknown just sent me this in reaction to today’s column:

…we should try, convict, and hang all the neoconservative traitors (from Rumsfeld to Frum) who have the blood of thousands on their hands and have installed a virtual police state on the ashes of the Constitution. Then perhaps we can get about the business of tearing down the Welfare/Warfare state and reinstating Constitutional government to the United States.

Does “try, convict and hang” sound like there’s any intention of following through with the “due process” guaranteed by the Bill of Rights?

“We’ll give him a fair trial, then we’ll hang him.”

And can somebody please point to evidence of this “police state” we live in as it pertains to Bush and it’s negative effect on American citizens? Concrete examples please.

There’s far more evidence of the police state that’s been created by Congress, local governments and the courts over the years (income taxes, excessive property taxes, eminent domain, confiscating wealth & property, taking money from legal citizens and giving it to illegal aliens, taking children, food & smoking Nazis, etc.) than there is of anything contained in the Patriot Act.

I wish people would be as upset with those things as they are about Bush’s people snooping in on phone calls placed by suspected terrorists.

Hillary’s Gladiator Moment of Truth

One thing came to mind after I read this:

Hillary Clinton will be offered a dignified exit from the presidential race and the prospect of a place in Barack Obama’s cabinet under plans for a “negotiated surrender” of her White House ambitions being drawn up by Senator Obama’s aides.

Remember the scene at the beginning of the movie Gladiator when the soldier is sent off on horseback carrying a message for the enemy, and minutes later the horse returns carrying all parts of the messenger except his head?

But on the off-chance the “dignified exit” offer is accepted by Hillary, there is yet another reason to hope Obama loses:

The former First Lady would get the chance to pilot Mr Obama’s reforms of the American healthcare system if she agrees to clear the path to his nomination as Democratic presidential candidate.

Hillary piloted healthcare reforms the first time with such success, why not let her have another shot at it? I’m sure Captain Smith won’t hit an iceberg this time.
