Idiot Politician of the Day: Rep. Edward Markey

If you’re in Massachusetts, know this; should anything happen to Ted Kennedy, there will be plenty of liberals, some of them even named Edward, to take his place and help teach children all sorts of lies.

Rep. Edward Markey (Du-Mass), take it away:

A top Democrat told high school students gathered at the U.S. Capitol Thursday that climate change caused Hurricane Katrina and the conflict in Darfur, which led to the “black hawk down” battle between U.S. troops and Somali rebels.

Let’s assume for a moment that the man-made global warming theory is a fact. Telling kids that global warming led to the black hawk down battle is a little like saying the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius led to The Sopranos.

Politicians can be fat and out of shape, but they can take very athletic Kierkegaardian leaps if properly motivated.

Here’s more from Professor Ma(la)rkey:

Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.), chairman of the House (Select) Energy Independence and Global Warming Committee, also equated the drive for global warming legislation with the drive for women’s suffrage in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

There will always be a grave injustice in the world until global warming has the right to vote!

Who says Democrats aren’t for teaching “intelligent design”? They’re intelligently designing what kids are learning so they’ll be dumb enough to vote for the Pied Pipers of Scamelin the rest of their lives.

For demonstrating this, Rep. Edward Markey gets our “Idiot Politician of the Day” award.

A new study from “The DC Institute for Completely Making Stuff Up” has found that global warming is causing politicians to look like they should star in wacky sitcoms
