House Republicans wanted to stay take action to lower gas prices and break our dependence on foreign oil, but Democrats wanted to… begin their vacations.
No wonder the Democrat-led House of Representatives is about as popular as Nancy Pelosi’s book.
The vote to adjourn for the summer passed 213 to 212. Only 17 Democrats voted “no.” Ten House members didn’t vote at all — apparently they were already on vacation.
For Dems, there’s a small glitch in their plan, but it sounds as if they’ll be able to get back home on gas you and I paid for in time for their five-week vacations.
How concerned are Dems with gas prices? Watch Mitch McConnell (R-KY) call out Ken Salazar (D-ILDO) and get him to admit that he doesn’t even care if gas gets to $10 a gallon — we ain’t drillin’!
Update: With Republicans still speaking on the subject of oil, House Speaker Nancy “oil can… oil can…” Pelosi turned off the lights, killed the microphone, and left to spend the rest of the summer with her plastic surgeon.
Read the last few paragraphs of this update and spend the weekend praying that somebody invents a car that runs on childish, agenda driven jerks.
