The Olympic Games got underway in China today. The opening ceremony gave me Pink Floyd concert flashbacks.

I haven’t otherwise been following the hype too closely, but I did learn that China appointed five “mascots” to represent that nation for the duration of the Games.

Here are the five mascots: Beibei the Fish, Jingjing the Panda, Huanhuan the Olympic Flame, Nini the Swallow, and Yingying the Tibetan Antelope.

Guess which one is Yingying the Tibetan Antelope:

In the spirit of the Games, I wanted to do my part for this global event, so I redesigned China’s Olympic logo to something a little more appropriate to the occasion. Here’s an aerial view:
