We’re not even a month into Barack Obama’s presidency, and as near as I can tell, the biggest threats to our nation that must be aggressively dealt with are Rush Limbaugh and some cartoonist from the New York Post. Let it never be said that common sense priorities can ever get in the way of hope-notized morons.
There’s a predictable call for a boycott of the New York Post. The outrage is being choreographed, as usual, by race-baiting opportunistic scumbag Al Sharpton in retaliation for the publication of a cartoon that people who don’t know much about how government works (or how humor works, for that matter) claim compares Barack Obama to a chimpanzee.
The cartoon was, in reality, directed at one of the main authors of the stimulus, Blinky McTaxalot (aka Nancy Pelosi), and the rest of Congress who supported it — because the “stimulus” has also turned into a knuckle-dragging, out-of-control, runaway beast that’s wreaking plenty of havoc.
This hyper-sensitive sniveling was reminiscent of last summer when the New Yorker published a cover featuring the Obamas in terrorist garb doing the “fist bump.”
For some reason, I’m reminded of what Jon Stewart said about the New Yorker cartoon: “Barack Obama should in no way be upset about the cartoon that depicts him as a Muslim extremist, because you know who gets upset about cartoons? Muslim extremists.”
Here’s that flashback:
