Premier Wen Jiabao of China held his first online chat with the Chinese public this past Saturday.

It didn’t quite go as planned, but it was a good start:

Cheng in Wuhan: Please don’t harm my parents.

Zhou in Changsha: I just wanted to say that you’re doing a good job on that.
