Happy Pi Day to All

Today is the day that Congress has earmarked — er, I mean designated — as “National Pi Day.”

Congress, having no other pressing issues to attend to, made it official with a vote this past Wednesday. This will most likely be followed by a $500 billion “pi stimulus” plan later this year in order to raise pi awareness.

How long will it be before labor and government unions get involved and push this “holiday” to a Monday so they can have a three day weekend? After all, if you don’t get 3.1415 days off to honor pi, then what’s the point?

Fun facts about pi:

–Take the height in feet of any member of Congress and divide it by 3.14 to get their approval rating

–3.14 is the net worth of the average American’s 401K

–New York City Mayor Bloomberg has lobbied to change the name “pi” to “broccoli” because “pi” reminds people of “pie” which can contain dangerous levels of sugar and trans fats
