Apollo 11 Liftoff: 40 Years Ago Today

I was almost three years old, and in the recesses of my mind I remember my parents letting me stay awake late when Apollo 11 reached the moon to watch the landing. But 40 years ago today, Apollo 11 began its journey to the moon.

Since that day, we’ve expanded the program and begun the colonization of our solar system. Just kidding… we can barely get vehicles off the ground without stuff falling off and damaging them.
