The publisher of Sarah Palin’s book cranked up the printing from 1.5 million to 2.5 million copies, but this morning the story floating around is how Palin’s “fans” booed her at a book signing in Indiana.
The story is that Palin left a book signing before everybody who had a wristband got in to have their books signed, which was said to have angered a few dozen people. But after I watched the compilation below of local news interviews with “angry” fans who waited all day in the rain only to be turned away, I’m speculating that Palin’s people suspected an infiltration of lefties.
Whatever happened, there’s no way that at least half of these people interviewed were Palin fans. “I just don’t feel that I can support Sarah anymore” sounds so manufactured that we’ll probably see it on t-shirts within a day — and the guy who dragged his children into his sob story, that’s straight from the DNC handbook.
There may be some genuinely disappointed Palin fans who waited all day and still didn’t get their books signed, but some of these people don’t pass the smell test:
The video below is circulating as proof that Palin fans are turning on her as she left the Indiana signing. I checked a few lefty sites this morning and many have the headline “Palin booed at book signing!”
I hear about three, maybe four, people making noise in the back of the crowd, and their “sign our books!” mantra sounds to me as if it came straight from a pre-planned Hopenchange chanting-points memo. It’s the kind of ear-splitting shrillness can only be learned at Code Pink seminars.
You be the judge:
This is from Organizing for America’s website:
Whatever lie Sarah Palin comes up with next will be widely covered by the media, then constantly echoed by right-wing attack groups and others who are trying to defeat reform.
So we’re setting a big goal: $500,000 in the next week to help push back against Sarah Palin and her allies. Can you chip in to help reach our goal?
Rest easy, OFA, I think they’ve already started chipping in at Sarah’s book signings.
Update: Judging from this video of libs pretending to be Palin supporters showing up at a book signing, I’d say we’re going to be reading “Palin booed” headlines for the duration of her book tour. And the media will lap it up without questions as evidence that Palin is a crazy, falling star and her “fans” are turning on her.
