Okay, she really didn’t put it that way, but it is interesting to see the left-wing wife of a president whose presidential campaign put pacifists in a state of visible arousal suddenly concerned about kids not being able to grow up and join the military:

At a ceremony at the White House on Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama announced the launch of the ‘Let’s Move’ campaign to end childhood obesity in the United States, an epidemic she said is costly and a threat to national security.

“A recent study put the health care cost of obesity-related diseases at $147 billion a year,” Mrs. Obama said. “This epidemic also impacts the nation’s security, as obesity is now one of the most common disqualifiers for military service.”

This is going to have the Obamas leftist pals back in Chicago stuffing lard down the throats of their children. “Join the military and kill innocent, oppressed and misunderstood human beings who only want their grievances addressed? Bring on the Big Macs!”

This is the best indicator that this “Let’s Move” campaign has ulterior motives (naturally), and it goes beyond just porkifying Big Labor. Rest assured “Let’s Move” will also have a role in a “new and improved” Health Care bill that will return from the dead sometime soon.

We’ll be told that if we don’t pass Obamacare II, our kids will get fatter, not be able to join the military, get diabetes, and die — all while our national security suffers as a result.

Obamacare II: Our national security depends on it!

Almost two years ago, Michelle Obama herself warned the obese, along with everybody else, that the Obamas would be taking their pie away, so we can’t say we didn’t see it coming:

“The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.” — Michelle Obama, April 8, 2008

Since the Obama Administration repealed the Welfare reform act, increasing the public dependency on food stamps, why not restrict the government providing sodas, cupcakes, candy bars, and other junk food. A pound of most vegtables and fruits cost no more that a pound of cookies and doughnuts. Since I do the family grocery shopping I see what people are buying with their food cards.

i agree with sherry if we provide food to the poor…it should only be the necessary
staples of life. no frills. no non necessities. and we should all encourage our
youth to avoid the military. let the obama-ites defend themselves.
