**”Rats Deserting a Sinking Ship” Breaking News**

The hits for the Democrats just keep on coming:

Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh will not seek re-election this year, Fox News has learned.

The two-term Indiana senator is known as a moderate Democrat. His retirement gives Republicans yet another opportunity to pick up a seat in a year when several incumbent Democrats are considered vulnerable.

Former GOP Sen. Dan Coats had been planning to challenge Bayh in November.

In a poll last week, Bayh lead Coats significantly (granted it was a Daily Kos poll), but maybe Bayh read the voting trends on the wall. Or maybe Bayh just got tired of being sqawked at by the Gorebot moonbats.

Update: A reminder that, though the media constantly refers to Bayh as a “moderate Democrat,” he nevertheless supported every Obama initiative to come down the line.

Update II: Rumor has it that Dem. Sen. Barbara Mikulski of Maryland won’t run for re-election either. Democrats are bowing out faster than Obama after dinner at Benihana.

While there may be Democrats deciding not to run for what ever reason, we must not put the cart before the horse. Many of these guys are going to fall on the sword for Pelosi and Reed and end up a czar or advisor with Zero's administration and only adding further debt to our nation.

I would be way more thrilled if I saw that Levin and Stabenow were retiring effective immediately!

Just read a blog that suggested Bayh quit too late for the Dems to get ANYONE on the ballot as the deadline to file in all IN counties is tomorrow. The only resolution for the Dums is to caucus their candidate which will lead to a progressive ideologue being proposed. Good luck what that Dooms!

Levin and Stabenow will have to be carried out before they'll ever retire. And I suppose in this state they don't have too much to worry about anyway, but we'll see…

"Zero's administration and only adding further debt to our nation. "

Nixon, Reagan, Bush, and Bush all saw massive deficit increases and growth in gov'. Carter and Clinton saw budget surpluses.

Keep hanging on to your false ideology. Screw reality, right? Facts don't matter?

And for the record, more Republicans have announced their retirement then Dems, but Doug doesn't seem to like to mix that fact in.
