What Was the Offer Kucinich Couldn’t Refuse?

Late last night I wrote that Dennis Kucinich, a “firm no” on Obamacare for quite a while, was thinking about voting yes after a little joyride on Air Force One (New ad slogan: “We love to bribe, and it shows”).

Obama was able to coax Kucinich on board by saying that he only wanted to take Dennis up to do some UFO spotting — but once airborne, the arm twisting began.

So, this St. Patrick’s Day morning, Kucinich, who fittingly resembles a leprechaun, announced that he has indeed caved to pressure and/or given in to some sort of healthy bribe for his district. Kucinich was against the bill because it wasn’t liberal/leftist enough, but still, we’d have taken any “no” vote where we could have found it.

What was the offer Kucinich couldn’t refuse? Did Obama promise that Obamacare would pay for Kucinich to have his ears rounded off (known in medical circles as “De-Vulcanizing”)? Did Obama wait until they were airborne to remind Kucinich that there were 30 people on board and only 29 parachutes, which are reserved only for Obamacare supporters?

The unfortunate thing is that Obama and Pelosi don’t have too many more of these kinds of “deals” to cut before getting enough votes to pass their monstrous industry takeover sham, and they may well do just that — they’ve got all your money, not to mention your kids and grandkids’ future, to bargain with.
