Obama had better be careful, because he’s going to need these same people to return to his back pocket in 2012, and I’m sure they will:

“Every single day since I signed reform into law, there’s another poll or headline that says ‘Nation still divided on health reform! Polls haven’t changed yet!’” Obama said in a speech at Portland Expo Center.

“Well, yeah. It just happened last week. It’s only been a week!”

Obama then departed from his prepared remarks to take a further stab at the press. “Can you imagine if some of these reporters were working on a farm, and you planted some seeds, and they came out the next day and they looked and said, ‘Nothing’s happened. There’s no crop! We’re going to starve! Oh, no! It’s a disaster!” he said, laughing and ginning up cheers from the crowd.

Where’s the loyalty, Mr. President? This is the same press that carried you into the White House like a leftist football coach who just won the national championship. How times have changed.

What’s with the “it’s only been a week” thing? It’s been a year! The majority of Americans didn’t want this from its inception, but instead of governing with the will of the people, Obama did the opposite, which is doing this to his approval numbers, and he’s blaming the press:

null

The fact is that most people didn’t want Obama to plant this crop, because it’s been planted in dirt dumped on the Constitution. As it grows, his numbers will continue to go down, not up, and he’ll keep taking it out on the press — a press that is turning out to be a still semi-tingly Tina Turner to Obama’s Ike.
