For starters, any comments might ruin this week’s Ramadan dinner at the White House, so Obama is voting “present” on this topic — and that’s something he’s used to doing.

The fact that the State Department posted NY Mayor Bloomingidiot’s pro-mosque speech on its website might offer a hint to which way the administration sways on this issue — not that it should come as a surprise.

On the other side of the debate, 70% of Americans oppose the location of the mosque/cultural center — and Obama certainly doesn’t want any more of an approval ratings hit by publicly supporting the project (unlike the potential millions of “undocumented Democrats” that could be gained through his opposition to the popular Arizona immigration law, there’s little political gain in supporting the GZ mosque), even though his silence speaks volumes.

Of course 70% of Americans oppose it. Look at the way its being billed — "Mosque on Ground Zero." — and Sarah Palin calling it "hallowed ground"

Its a Muslim Cultural Center 2 blocks from the WTC site, and a space that used to house a Burlington Coat Factory.

If you don't like it, move to a country that doesn't constitutionally support the idea of religious freedom.

THAT'S what I want Obama to say. Just like that. Why won't he?

In something that I find very frustrating, the Obama Administration doesn't consult with me.

I think the President still thinks he can win favor on the right, so he avoids taking sides on issues like this. It's a mistake. He can't.

Muslim cultural center? Bah, humbug! What a bunch of crap!

There’s very little, if anything in the Muslim culture for anyone to care about other than their hatred of anything non-Muslim. That we know first hand and that we should care very much about as it means your death if you don’t convert. Witness the whole first decade of the twenty-first century. Why should anyone want to return to the seventh century from the twenty-first even under the threat of death from a heathen desert dweller? Look how their “religion” has stymied their culture.

Even if their spin doctors present it as good as Palin quitting on Alaska.

Hey Clu, you ever been to NYC? There are mosques all over the place.

Which only serves to beg the question, why here and why why now?

Nice try Nick. But, If I was to move to a country that doesn't constitutionally support the idea of religious freedom. That would be ANY Muslim country, which also supports the murdering of non-Muslims as with the 10 Christians, doing charity work that Muslims won't do, murdered last week.

They were killed because they were suspected of trying to convert Muslims to Christianity yet they want to build a mosque two blocks from Ground Zero.

No deal. I would much rather have a Burlington coat factory.

No dissagreement that child molestation has been done by Catholics but it's not sanctioned under the guise of their "religion" like child marriage (re: child rape) like the child rapping muslims.
