Sheesh, what are you complaining about, Arizona? Obama has sent 30 members of the National Guard and had 15 warning signs put up. But no, that’s not enough — You just can’t please some people:

( – Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said requests by Arizona law enforcement personnel and Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) for 3,000 National Guard troops along the state’s border with Mexico have been answered so far with 1 percent of that number deployed there this week.

“We have a whopping 30 [National Guard troops] this week that are showing up,” Babeu told “It’s less than a half-hearted measure designed to fail.”

But the federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has placed 15 signs along a 60-mile stretch of Interstate 8 that links San Diego with Phoenix and Tucson warning travelers of drug cartels and human trafficking operations.

Thirty troops, or as Obama’s calling it, “The surge.”

How much help was Arizona to expect from an administration that just condemned their immigration law in a report to the UN Human Rights Commission? If anything, those 30 troops are there to keep an eye on Jan Brewer and to report back directly to Ban Ki-moon.

From a sign painter`s point of view, there is way too much-printed way too small…. and if the info is accurate, then getting close enough and being still long enough to read the sign would make the reader an easy target ….. Is that the real idea ?

NO, as a matter of fact; I don`t trust my government !!! 🙁

Is that sign compliments of the Recovery Act? How many jobs were saved or created to make those signs? Just asking? /sarc

  5. SignPainterGuy on September 2nd, 2010 6:56 pm

You know as well as I that these signs, though claimed otherwise, were payed for with stolen funds already allocated for a worthwhile project proposed by republicans.
I`d guess, at 15 signs, 1 job may have been saved……..and knowing how the government loves to overpay for things, these signs cost between $1,200 & $3,800. (educated guess) (no exotic or long-lasting materials used)
And back to the Recovery Act, um, I mean porkulus funds, those are being held in a secret pocket for dem. election shinanigans, um, doggonit, campaigns…..last I heard, only about 40% has been spent !!! /not really sarcin`

Every time I see one of those recovery/theft signs i get physically ill. At least the uproar in Michigan over our Marxist/Mole Governor's name being attached to those obaminations caused her name to mysteriously disappear almost overnight. And by the way – are those signs made of "green" material that can be recycled? Er, the illegals can use them for firewood should the nights get cold? If not, shame on DHS for depriving these illegals/democrat voters of heat on their long trek/illegal crossing into our country.

Pressure-treated timbers (the sign posts) come with a plethora of warnings about prolonged skin contact, breathing saw dust and not to burn it…….GREEN, ppfffffftt !!!

All the highway projects in WNC are well marked with these Wreck…. , I mean Recovery Act signs even thogh it`s been long exposed now, the planning and funding has been in the pipe-line for several years. Fascinating !!

Talk about a half-a**ed response. He might have well have sent this kind of surge.
