There were a couple things I didn’t get to last night, and I’m kind of glad I didn’t because they seem even sweeter now on only three hours sleep…
First, congratulations to Allen West in Florida:
BOCA RATON — Wednesday morning, it became clear that the predicted wave of GOP victories in the mid-term elections was a fact, as West laid claim to the District 22 seat.
“I’m not going to Washington, D.C. to be a ruling class elitist or to be a career politician,” West told the wildly cheering crowd. “I’m going there to fix the problems, and then I’m coming home.”
As of 8:20 a.m., with 97 percent of precincts reporting, West was ahead with 54.3 percent of the votes. Klein trailed with 45.7 percent.
More good news for the constitution — remember Phil Hare, the Democrat who said he didn’t worry about the constitution because Obamacare was more important than that trivial little document? Well, Phil will have a lot more free time not to care about the constitution now, because he was denied a third term last night.
In case you’ve forgotten or hadn’t seen it, here’s the kind of thing that helped do him in (money quote at about the :45 mark)
And finally (for now), lunatic Alan Grayson is blaming gerrymandering for his loss. Whatever — don’t go away crazy, Alan, just go away.
