Even if this is a hoax, these people are subhuman gravy buckets:

The Arnolds are having a baby. Unless the public votes to have the child aborted. Meet the couple behind Birthornot.com, where “you can vote and choose whether we abort or keep our unborn child.”

Pete and Alisha Arnold, both 30, both tech professionals, live in the Minneapolis suburb of Apple Valley and have been married for 10 years. Since September, they’ve blogged about their expected child at birthornot.com, posting health updates about the mother and the fetus (which will be 17 weeks-old tomorrow), and ultrasound pictures and video. But at the top of the blog is a poll hosted by PollDaddy.com. The question: “Should We Give Birth or Have an Abortion?” “Give Birth” has 46 percent of the vote at the moment, with “Have an Abortion” at 54 percent. The poll closes on December 7th.

Too bad there’s not a spot for write-in votes — I’d go with “Keep the baby, abort the parents.”

Oh, so now a human life is reduced to the level of throwing a 'fin' on the office football pool?

"Keep the baby, abort the parents" LOL

My sentiments exactly. Or they could be visiting one of those strange vortex' where it compresses your body w/ unexplained gravitational forces? "Birthornot"? Try S*xornot.

I tend to agree with the characterization of "subhuman". I suspect this may be a hoax, because why would you leave such an intensely personal decision up to the whims of others?

And don't the pro-choicers always say "It should be up to the woman. It's her body." Blah, blah, blah. So, if it's so much the woman's decision, why involve the general internet community?

    SRachac,

Didn't want to go there ( but you've forced my hand! ) Yeah, and what's The Body's most recent claim to 'fame'? Some flighty tinfoil hat show? I'm embarrassed and I'm originally from IL!

What 'happened'? The Upper Midwest used to be so staunchly conservative? No offense, but what's become of you guy's definition of "rugged outdoorsy-type" males? That guy could be his 'own' couple.

I'm not sure what sickens me more: That there's a website like this or that the majority of people are voting in favor of aborting the child.

I read about this earlier today at the Creative Narrative Report here:
    http://www.creativeminorityreport.com/2010/11/hor

and I am as sickened as everyone else by it. I agree with Doug, keep the baby, abort the parents!

A commenter at CMR suggested that this was maybe a sick misguided ploy by pro-lifers to make some kind of a point. As unpalatable as that idea is, I'd rather that than for this evil to be true. Can you imagine if that child gets to live and finds out about this sick 'vote' later? Yikes!

This is a serious issue between a woman and her doctor – and the voting public.

    Zilla,

And… I never thought of 'that'? Well reasoned on your part. Look son! Up on the Jumbotron, The Kid We Almost Aborted 4th Birthday! He and Balloon Boy can be best buds.

One could argue these "gravy buckets" aren't fit to be parents ( regardless of the already macabre outcome )

Put a check mark for me in the "abort the parents" column and put the child up for adoption; get him/her away from these idiots asap ! As for surprise, the way people want to expose every nauseating detail of their mixed-up lives on MyFace and SpaceBook, PPfffft, and will sell their souls for a minute of fame and the chance at a few bucks, no surprise at all !! Maybe some pity, but I feel mostly disgust !

Could not have said it better – how low will people go to get a little attention.

  12. Nanny on November 18th, 2010 9:09 pm

The women libbers should be so proud – this is what they condone and promote for women. As far as I am concerned – if this baby lives to see the light of day – he should be removed promptly. These two do not deserve a child period!!!

  13. SignPainterGuy on November 18th, 2010 9:49 pm

    +1 !!

  14. Marshall_Will on November 18th, 2010 10:45 pm

I forget ( which one is 'pregnant' again? ) +2 Nanny. They're having a fetus!

  15. fxgeorges on November 18th, 2010 11:00 pm

If these people are that weak of mind, and character, maybe they should the poor child up for adoption. There’s no reason he/she should have to live with idiots.

  16. Zilla on November 19th, 2010 3:19 am

NewsBusters' Jill Stanek leans towards this thing being a hoax. She also points out how it has managed to tick off people on BOTH sides of the abortion issue. You can read about it here:
    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/jill-stanek/2010/11/

Hoax or not, those to fools should not be allowed to breed and if they do, their children should be removed from their care. Who knows what the next poll from them will be if they have this baby & keep it…

  17. Zilla on November 19th, 2010 3:21 am

Oops, typo, should read "two" and not 'to". Sorry.

I read your latest blog a while ago, things are tough all over ! Keep in mind that though bad things happen to good people, it`s not important what happens to whom or even why, but how you deal with your troubles and from whom you seek help ! Keep your faith, take care of your family and look with confidence for better days ! God loves you !
