Luckily the health care system that Saudi King Abdullah called to congratulate Obama for signing — the one that brought the US one step closer to Saudi Arabia’s superior universal health system — hasn’t kicked in yet. If it had, there’s no telling where Abdullah would have gone for treatment:

A top Saudi official says the kingdom’s ruler is walking again following a successful back operation in New York City.

Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the interior minister, told the state news agency Sunday that the king “enjoys good health and he has walked on his own feet.”

King Abdullah, 86, flew to New York for medical treatment Tuesday after suffering from a slipped disc and being diagnosed with a blood clot pressing on the nerves in his back.

Or maybe Abdullah got an Obamacare waiver.

One of the world’s richest men who could have chosen any health system decided to be treated in the country the World Health Organization ranked 37th best?

I wonder if Abdullah will have time while he’s in the States to give Elena Kagan a call and thank her for helping shield the Saudi royal family from those pesky 9/11 lawsuits.

Sickening (no pun intended), isn't it?

If foreign universal healthcare is so sptffy, marvy, great, why the heck do those pesky supporters of same, come plop their behinds in our hospital surgical suites to have their malfunctions fixed?

    Hypocritical, no?

His Royal high muckety muckness doesn't trust his own country's slammin', jammin', rockin' healthcare?

Doug, that`s another entertaining post at MM`s place about John F`ing Thurston Kerry`s commemoration to himself ! Good job as usual, but I must point out, and I`ll gladly grant you a pass for the omission since Lurch hasn`t been in the news 24/7 for some time, he served in Vietnam ! One commenter there referred to our long-serving servant as "Old Shrapnel Ass" ! I seem to remember that it was determined exactly what that tiny bit of "shrapnel" was that won him his so well deserved Purple Heart – I`d like to submit a new shorter and more accurate nick-name – "Rice Butt" ! His overwhelming phonyness deserves no less / no more !

Touche`! Moreover, how much credibility are we to lend the WHO when they rank San Marino and Andorra ( pop. slightly greater that of the Vatican ) as 3rd and 4th in the 'rankings'?

The only time I've -ever- seen either of those countries pop up was in response to a stump-the-panel/last-ditch-effort trivia question! Category? I'll take The Smallest for $200 Alex.

We're "in process" for Defunding NPR ( these O-holes* are NEXT! ) Since -when- have we ever gotten unpoliticized straight dope from these guys?

*Given the current occupant of the White House, A-hole has been relegated to the #2 spot. Two-thousand years. It was a great run at the top! All good things must come to an end.

    ( On the RSVP )

"45 Years In Public Service" ( Oh… 'that's' what they call it? ) Most of us would likely refer to that track record as SELF service but whatever.

I've must say, even though this is the time of year to count blessings, I was a bit taken aback by MM's "Giving Thanks for American Ingenuity"? Not that it was misdirected or inappropriate to note the uninvited role of gov. in -true- innovation… Rather, the lack of a legitimate GROWTH ENGINE is exactly WHY everyone in the pvt. sector ( where supposedly ingenuity originates ) is flocking to DC for their 'share' of Love!

Even The Onion quipped: America Needs New Fake Boom To Believe In! It's great, and we 'should' pay respects to innovations past, but without the presence of a legit engine.., we're dead in the water. Absent another quantum leap ( to wit; electricity/the microchip ) innovation is absolutely stalled! ( No, more IPhone 'apps' aren't the answer ) This is our real problem. IMHO.

Rice Butt, such a narcissistic phoney !!

I took MM`s post to be more of a poke to Bite Me`s eye, but I get your point ! I`m of the opinion that the new congressional session should begin with all new electees seated and the losers gone – no lame duck session at all ! That way, IF the new House majority is really serious, they can remove some roadblocks to innovation and keep the "Bush tax rates" and lower some, getting people back to work ! Innovation will happen when tinkerers feel some confidence to play with ideas ! I know, gotta get it past the Senate and the Oval Orafice, I can dream can`t I ?!

Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach.

But, from time to time those who can’t still get called upon to do. World national leaders would rather come to an American teaching hospital than go to their own fully vetted and accredited and honor-graduated physicians.

In this case only three stipulations: they cannot be Jewish, female, or Saudi.

Makes one wonder where the greatest Muslim medical teaching hospital is. You know the one where everyone is required to wear a surgical mask in perpetuity, they pat themselves down, and the infidel never comes out alive without a conversion.

Again the Libs are shown the USA has the BEST medical industry in the World.

Guess still not much love between the Persians and the Arabs or at least while AkMedMiniJihad reigns in Iran

    Thanks SPG!

Ya know, I'd forgotten that Kerry served in Vietnam because it's been minutes since he last mentioned it!

"Old shrapnel ass"… ha! Instead of "Old Blood & Guts" I suppose we could also call Kerry "Old Chardonnay & Truffles"

Anything to maintain that aura of bravery and decisiveness !!

  11. SignPainterGuy on November 29th, 2010 1:36 am

Not to belabor the subject or anything, but while we`re on the subject of Kerry`s service in Vietnam, he absolutely slayed me when during his campaign attempt, he wanted us to look at his service in Vietnam without actually LOOKING at his service in Vietnam ! What in the cat hair was Theresa thinking ?! They`re both maroons !

Facts and proof mean nothing to a true lib !

The term Mo-town takes on a whole new meaning as does the auto industries idea of making a prophet.
