A Washington Post article here parrots what I’ve read in other papers and seen trumpeted on most news channels for the past few days: The 111th Congress was the most productive in decades!

It’s the word “productive” that’s a joke. Big deal — termites once had a “productive” year on a house I used to live in. The mid 1970′s were “productive” for Ted Bundy.

The 111th Congress was so “productive” that voters couldn’t wait to flush a good part of it down the toilet. There’s got to be a word to describe the 111th Congress that’s more accurate than “productive” — “destructive” perhaps? “Irresponsible”? “Pitiful”? “Bankrupt”? “Corrupt”?

…and the two planes that struck the Twin Towers were productive in bringing the towers down and killing 3000+ people.

…and the Atom Bombs dropped on Japan were productive in leveling Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

…and Reid is still productive in doing little or nothing about Nevada’s 14+% unemployment.

…and Pelosi hasn’t been productive since her last offspring was born.

Saw SanFran Nan stating that they did the work necessary to protect the people. 'Cept
the people were not asking them for this "necessary" legislation. It was the twisted, deceitful and completely unnecessary wish of the socialist, elites who hate the people of the US.

Fug em all – and don't pin your hopes on the incoming newbies. Some of them sound like they have seen their favorite rock star and are love struck already! Keep them completely on their tippy toes to do the work we sent them to do or let them know they will be fired promptly!!!

    Clu,

Correct, and the 80's were my most 'productive' drinking years. ( Kind of a 'default setting' actually? )

Roit! The truth is they've been stinky-thumbing it since '06 providing nothing but copious amounts of knee-pad lip service to their base and like the True Slackers that they are, crammed in the 11th hour.

Natch, they're expecting 'praise'. As per nannykins most excellent observations, just b/c your Dad can't leave work "this minute!" ( doesn't mean you're not gonna' GET IT when he gets 'home'! ) I think if anything, this has only served to -further- infuriate and fortify the Tea Party base.

Typical nothing of a comment. What does a Senator do about his state's unemployment problem? Uh, nothing.

You simply are too stupid to realize what productitivity is.

We have health care reform, increased civil rights, and more stable economy (relative to the end of the Bush regime), and a reduction in nuclear weapons.

Oh, but you hate everything, so what does it matter.

"I think if anything, this has only served to -further- infuriate and fortify the Tea Party base."

What has the Tea Party accomplished? It's lead figure is reality TV star and self promoter Sarah Palin. Christ, the Tea Party is a freaking global joke.

  7. Nick on December 23rd, 2010 3:42 pm

Just about as stupid a comment as possible. More hate for the sake of hate. No content, no basis in reality.

"What does a Senator do about his state's unemployment problem? Uh, nothing" ( I suppose that depends on the State. Evidently in Nevada it gets you re-elected? ) Sadly, Harry fell silent when BO was bad-mouthing conventions in Vegas and it fell upon the MAYOR to straighten him out! )

"what productivity is" ( Oh, you mean Taxpayer FUNDED, government-sponsored make-work 'employment' ) Yes, -very- stupid. Then there's your cattle-prod healthcare ( that's being fought tooth & nail at every level and basically DOA ) A more "stable economy" ( meaning the Federal Reserve is printing funny money 24/7 ) and a reduction in *OUR* nuclear weapons!

There, fixed that for ya'. No hate. Just truth. Welcome to 2011. You gonna' luff it.

So Nick how is your Festivus Celebration going? Idiot!

So how does it feel to have the left's parasitical @$$ handed to you and yours by a freaking global joke, jerk ?

Poor Nickipoo… everyone ganging up on him.

What has the Tea Party accomplished you posit? Hmm, let me think a nanosecond. Why, I believe it was the catalyst for the largest "shellacking" in a midterm election since 1937. And I also believe it was the impetus behind the massive, pork-filled omnibus bill being rightfully killed.

Gotta love the Tea Party… it makes progressives, like you Nickster, go bats**t crazy, and it even makes the RINO's look over their shoulders. Amazing what the sanitization of the Constitution will do to statist power grabbers.

    Today's "Exercise in Godwin's Law":

Using the criteria established by the Washington Post, the years 1933-1945 were, on the whole, pretty productive for the Nazis.

Excellent Point! And right on par with what this congress has done.

Other than Syracuse University professor Arthur Brooks' study. And with your head stuck up your alimentary canal exit hole spouting arrogance you come here calling people morons. You really are a 1st class Di!do.

The most notorious self-promoter of all time is in the White House with his Ghost written biography and teleprompter pomposity. And that Moo-Chell O- you'd think she wrote the book on nutrition. LMAO

Why can't liberals realize that the Tea Party is going to hand the heads to Republicans and Democrats alike in the coming decades?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20101223/pl_poli… illustrates your point of what we are up against. Murkowski, Snowe & Collins are part of the problem, not part of the solution, unless the goal is socialism. And let us not ever forget …
