The Prince with four homes (just one of his modest abodes can be seen here), a fleet of cars and a private jet is saying that those of us who confine ourselves to a single modest home and have only one or two cars but believe anthropogenic global warming is a sham are a danger to the planet:

BRUSSELS (AP) — Prince Charles lashed out Wednesday at climate change skeptics, saying they are playing “a reckless game of roulette” with the planet’s future.

Skeptics are having a “corrosive effect” on public opinion, the British heir to the throne added.

“Their suggestion, that hundreds of scientists around the world … are somehow unconsciously biased, creates the implication that many of us are secretly conspiring to undermine and deliberately destroy the entire market-based capitalist system,” he said.
[...]
Charles asked: “How are these people going to face their grandchildren and admit to them that they failed their future?”

Did the same person who promotes a financial scheme that will bankrupt the world and leave our children in poverty just ask that question? Well, since the Prince is the same silver-spoon fed boneheaded hypocrite who visited a Mumbai shantytown and declared it to be a “model for sustainable living” for the rest of the world, I don’t think he’d really mind.

What are the odds we’ll ever see Prince Charles setting up residence in this “model for sustainable living”?

null

As for global warming skeptics thinking global warmists with wealth are “secretly conspiring to undermine and deliberately destroy the entire market-based capitalist system,” I don’t agree with that. There’s no “secret” about it — they’re doing it right out in the open.

Get a job, Chuck.

No wonder his Mum doesn't give him the throne. I think maybe he has gotten too much wind up his kilt.

    This could explain a lot?

And yes, I'm sure that poor little girl in the photo above lays awake nights worrying about global warming. Not. Try worrying about getting enough to EAT the next day?

  3. Doug on February 9th, 2011 6:34 pm

True, she probably spends her day just thankful she's saving the planet.

    Link not working Doug !

  6. SignPainterGuy on February 9th, 2011 6:50 pm

Well no wonder ! Dementia coupled with breeze-induced chills – the "little brain" is HOPING for some warming !!

Bonehead actually thinks that slum is a model of sustainable living ?! In-breeding has taken a serious toll !

Right, and her mother stays up all night wondering what university she will attend.

By the way, does Prince Dementia have a CLUE as to what the lifespan of a Mumbai teen/pre-teen prostitute 'is' in his "model for sustainable living"? I'm guessing not.

That's why I got such a -kick- out of an interview w/ Keith Richards after Lady Di's accident.

"Really!? I didn't 'know' the chick. Besides… ow 'ard could it be to be the Princess of Wales..?"

  9. Marshall_Will on February 9th, 2011 6:58 pm

    SPG,

Mine above seems to be working. Doug's link to Michelle's Place is to DIE for! Just for purposes of illustration ( 18,000 Mumbai residents could and DO live in the same sq. area as (1) of his mansions! )

    Nope, no disconnect 'there'.

…a financial scheme that will bankrupt the world….

If the world becomes bankrupt, who would hold the title papers?

    =========

Hey, Chuck, are you sure you want to lift up this part of Mumbai as the perfect balance of sustainability that the English Empire left behind in India?

Your people created this. Don’t you think you could at least go in and put up a windmill?

So, I guess we could say the blighted urban areas of inner city U.S.A. are actually Gore’s sustainability centers.

  11. SignPainterGuy on February 9th, 2011 7:42 pm

Ah yes, thanks M_W, I remember reading that post ……..no, no disconnect at all !

How dare we fail to take the word and conclusions of several hundred "sciency" folk (not really scientists, but folk who know scientists or have bumped against them in a crowded elevator or something), but instead, believe 31,000 real scientists who understand thermodynamics and astrophysics and how man has very nearly no effect on climate !! The fact that he and the Goracle, aka: "Mr Deep Freeze" are outnumbered nearly 15 to 1 is irrelevant !

    We should be ASHAMED !!

  15. Marshall_Will on February 9th, 2011 8:34 pm

    Clu,

That's what is so laughable. My fellow old-school bubble-bloggers and I figured when adding up all the various hedge fund derivitives and "sciency" sounding futures contracts etc… they would eclipse the value of the entire PLANET three-fold!

I… think we've printed up enough money for time being. There's more than enough liquidity sloshing around out there. When it starts chasing returns in commodities and energy, we'll be borrowing candles to read by?

Great read if anyone has time: George Friedman: The Next 100 Years. It's actually encouraging reading for Conservatives and a companion piece to Michelle M's rec. Arnold J. Toynbee "A Study Of Nations". Bad news Libs, USA -still #1 a hundred years from now. I know, bummer dudes.

  16. Marshall_Will on February 9th, 2011 8:40 pm

I'm… going to rec. "Sciency" for inclusion into The Powers That Be Glossary of Terms!

Can I get a 2nd!? Yeah, I run into people w/ medical backgrounds, bio-tech-types all the time. I never assume to confer 'expert' status upon myself b/c we had a drink at a conf. and admired the same gal from across the room?

That`s not enough to confer "expert" status ? Shazam !

Think back to all the previous campaigns and how the lib news outlets trot out as "expert political analysts" some has-been, wannabe, used-to-be contributing writer for a New England off-shore island bi-monthly fishwrap and birdcage-liner !

You at least have "seen" pretty women !

The National Enquirer is trying to save him face: According to Camilla…he has Alzheimer's.

Which explain why he decided to go right into that crowd of students, who almost got Camilla's right are.

If the NY rep had a D next to his name and was posting his pic to the men seeking men section, while still being married, he would be a national hero by this time tomorrow.

At least he had the decency to resign.

  21. CDL on February 9th, 2011 10:16 pm

How to make an arse of yourself.

Complain about the commoners lack of enviroknowledge while living the posh life.

    And Bob's your uncle.

  22. SignPainterGuy on February 9th, 2011 10:47 pm

And therein lies the difference; A dem is lionized while a rep. will resign or be removed !

It seems corruption crosses party lines more frequently than does honor !
