This is funny in pitiful way. Here’s Tim Geithner’s testimony in a nutshell: “Yeah, that budget is unsustainable and will lead to inevitable disaster — but what other choice do we have?

In news about other economic savants in the White House, Obama’s new Press Secretary claimed today that money borrowed to pay interest on old debt isn’t new debt. Come again?

Well, in that case let’s just borrow $14 trillion to pay off the entire national debt and we’re in the clear!

What? Can't the Feds send Geithner one of those "0% for the next twelve months cards?" What? America's credit score is minus 7 tillion?

Really, if we didn't see him say it, we wouldn't believe it.

How did Timmy escape the Harry Potter movie in the first place?

Every time someone from Zero on down opens their mouth – I hope it is captured and used for ads in the 2012 elections! They are just plain and simple stupid. Doesn't say much for a fancy Harvard education does it.

Come on "Turbo Tax" Timmy, only the stupidest koolaid guzzler could follow the logic of continuing out on a way too skinny limb that`s been cracking like popcorn popping from the first step ! "We`re committed to this thing, we gotta keep goin` !"

I hadn`t thought it possible, but Jay Carney actually does sound less believable than Baghdad Bob "the Fibber" Gibbs !

"Doesn`t say much …….." I think it says plenty; that a Harvard education is a waste of a sh_t load of tuition $ !!

    joyanna,

For the non-Potter fans, care to explain?

Right, with $200 'down' I think the U.S should be able to purchase a pack of Gum on credit.

Add'ly he was a member of the NY Fed Reserve prior. So… guess he just wasn't in a position to be anything but 'blindsided' by The Coming Debacle?

Yes, looove the idea. Start w/ this tasty lil' sound-byte right-cheer.

Did you hear what the new press secretary said today? In Zero's budget, he is borrowing money to pay interest on old debt. But that borrowing is not going to add to the deficit. WTF??????

So all I have to do is go out and borrow – say – $100K – pay off my mortgage, auto and credit cards and I'm debt free????? All Riiiiiggggghhhhttttty then – thanks for the financial advice. The more they open their mouths – the dumber they get.

    Nanny,

Even those of us that followed the snarl from inception were a bit floored by the pyrotechnics this thing spun off! We'd been writing and signing Petition after petition to get these clowns to reign this BS in!

Of course we were told to STFU and we were all just a bunch of "chicken littles" etc. Well, even though we were shocked, shocked I tell you.., at some point, they have to Get_A_Grip fer' chrissakes.

Remember, the "Credit Crunch" was the canary in the coalmine and that dates back to May of '07. All of Bammies Save The Homeowners plans were a terrible failure. Not only in terms of $'s but precious, PRECIOUS time! Time we won't get back. Time wasted that burnt thru a lot of hard working people's savings desperately trying to stay afloat. Dumb@$$es, the lot of them.

Note to Marshall Will—the Bank in the Harry Potter book was called Gringotts, and the bankers were ugly little Globlins, with crooked noses…and beady eyes.

If you ever saw the movie, you would swear Timmy is a decendant. He looks just like them, and even hunches over like them…but taller.

    Thanks Joyanna!

My daughters were/are huge HP fans. ( When do they outgrow it? ) They'll be 24 & 27 in the fall. Gringotts it is! :)
