Odd what some folks’ idea of “American heroes” are, isn’t it?

The Fleebaggers have finally returned to Wisconsin from a lengthy self-imposed duty avoidance, and were of course lauded big time for doing so:

The 14 Democrats who fled Wisconsin to block a vote on union legislation thanked protesters Saturday for supporting them during their self-imposed exile.

Calling themselves the “Fabulous 14,” the Democrats appeared at a rally against a bill signed Friday by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) that ends collective bargaining rights for public employees. Critics call the law an “assault” on unions, but Walker said the legislation is necessary to reduce the state’s budget deficit.
[...]
The Democrats who held up the vote were given a heroes’ welcome outside the Capitol in Madison. Chants of “thank you, thank you” were heard as each of the Democrats took a turn speaking to the crowd.

Someday Wisconsin school children, perhaps even starting tomorrow, will be taught the inspiring Fleebagger rallying quote: “I regret that I have but one month to stay in a mini-suite at the Heritage Hotel for my country!”

Wisconsin Republicans refused to embrace the Fleebag 14 who just spent weeks in a hotel and celebrate them like Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins just returning from the moon:

Republican Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald blasted the Democrats upon their return, saying they insulted the legislature with their actions.

“I hope you’re embarrassed to call yourselves senators,” Fitzgerald said in a statement.

No, they’re not.

You know who won’t be in a parade? Republicans. Because they’re afraid they might… ya know… get killed by the new civility.

I heard the Fab 14 plan on trying recalls of the Republican members. Now that is rich, you retreat faster than a Frenchman and think you got the moxie to recall the vote of the people that just got these fine stand-up Republicans into office just 90 days ago. If liberalism is a disease, delusion must be it's 1st symptom.

Of course this is reported with the typical lib spin on it – framing the conversation in their terms – "rights" that aren`t rights, but a privilege granted to a minority of workers thru intimidation – and falsely claiming that this legislation has "ended" their rights, when it only "limited" their bargaining privileges to wages……the actual "end" was to their opportunities to force taxpayers to pay for all or most of the cost of these relative few worker`s benefit packages ! They give the impression to those not thinking or at least not paying attention that "all" collective bargaining privileges have been stolen from them !

Welcoming these "fleebaggers" as heroes is a bit like welcoming deserters back into a combat unit after a fierce firefight, treating them like they`ve actually helped out during their absence ! Beyond Backwards !

Mom and Dad decided it’s time to wean baby and baby has just had the pacifier taken away. Mom also decided that it’s time to slap FLOTUS with a ‘keep your nose out of my life’ and end the breast feeding as well.

The immediate whining, crying, and picketing tantrum got no results so baby escalated to kicking, flailing, screaming, window breaking, trespassing, and trashing everything in sight but that did not get the results baby wanted either.

So now baby’s moved on the ‘I’m gonna hold my breath and turn blue’ stage. I could be wrong because there are always whaco’s running around on the loose, particularly on the left, just the threats prove that, but I doubt murder is in the offing

The loony left. Unfortunately, they came back.

the most disturbing thing for me (a Wisconsinite and conservative) is that I've heard absolutely NOTHING about any sort of punishment for Flight 14 out of Dane County Regional Airport. If these clown aren't punished – and I'm thinking something a bit more than a 'censure', we all know it's going to become a regular occurrence whenever the Dems don't like something.

Could be the Republicans have something they're keeping close to their vests, but I have a feeling they haven't.

"the most disturbing thing for me (a Wisconsinite and conservative) is that I've heard absolutely NOTHING about any sort of punishment for Flight 14"

The Watcher, so true. As a result, the *ONLY* thing I want to hear out of Liberal/Left mouths, keyboards and eyes going forward is apologies and NOTHING else!

Take out an ad in the WSJ and start with: "Dear America.., how can we begin to asl for your fogiveness?

    "….how can we begin…….."

Well, AFTER the brown-eyed smooch-fest, they can all submit written AND televised resignations !

That would fairly well satisfy me !

SPG – You are exactly right! The Dems are professionals at redefining terms to suit their own purposes. The constituents who buy this are the fools who can't see because of their liberal blinders!

I want the Republican party in Wisconsin to never let the voters forget what these 14 Senators did as the next elections for them approaches. Remind them that they ran away like little kids, remind them their constituants caused millions of dollars of damages to the capitol building, remind them of the cost to the taxpayer for their "vacations" in Illinois and then VOTE THEM OUT!!!

  10. SignPainterGuy on March 14th, 2011 1:08 am

It`s awfully easy to repeat the mis-terms without meaning to….The left are professionals, indeed ! It`s just a shame that they won`t spend their efforts correcting the wrongs instead of working to scam us all the time !

Not only are the dems treating the "Fab Flighty 14" as heroes, they`re trying to treat the "responsible" republicans as criminals ! Absurd !
