DC Mayor Arrested in Abortion Funding Protest: Alternate Headlines the Media Refuses to Use

The story is entitled “D.C. Mayor Vince Gray arrested and released.” Abortion cuts are one reason cited for the protest:

Washington Mayor Vincent Gray and other top city officials were arrested on Capitol Hill on Monday during a protest of the budget deal House Republicans cut with President Barack Obama.

A crowd of about 200 to 300 gathered near the Hart Senate Office Building in opposition to a budget bill passed last week because it places new limits on the city. One measure prevents Washington from spending government funds, even local money, on abortion services.

If Gray was a conservative I’m sure the media could find a different angle to the story. I can see the headlines now:

–”Leader angry it’s now harder for poor minorities to kill their babies”

–”Mayor protests cut in funding to lower number of blacks in DC”

Go ahead and choose one of those and feel free to use it, MSM. I dare ya.

    "Protestors chanted “Free D.C.” and “We can’t take it no more.”

    Well that 'is' true ( I mean after all, it HAS been an entire weekend!? ) Certifiable!

    Wouldn't ya'? Making a 'statement', making a 'scene', making 'the' scene it's all pretty much the -same- to these clowns. Let the avg. guy tell his boss he has to take time off work during the middle of the day "cuzz' it might be good publicity for him?"

    If I were to say that I’m all for our government using citizen’s tax money to pay for a procedure that, for no particular reason other than because they can be a nuisance to have around, kills three times as many black people than white people, would that make me a racist? http://www.abortionno.org/Resources/fastfacts.htm…

    If the Rev.'s Jesse Jackson, Jeremiah Wright and Al Sharpton would do the math they’d see that they could increase their income by 300% if they’d switch sides on just this one issue.

    Blacks aren't the only people that have abortions you know. Its mostly the spanish here in dc. and don't forget the WHITE people
