Barack and Michelle Obama signed the guestbook at Westminster Abbey today.

See if you can spot what’s wrong with this picture (and keep in mind that it was signed today):

It is a great privilege to commemorate our common heritage, and common sacrifice.

Barack Obama

24 May 2008

He’s so locked in on the campaign that he’s having flashbacks to three years ago, but who can blame a guy for daydreaming of a time when he could walk on water?

Michelle Malkin speculates that maybe Obama had too much Guinness in Ireland yesterday.

Predicted Chris Matthews spin tonight: Obama’s way too enlightened and busy to be expected to remember what year it is… or how many states there are

Update: A White House official blames jet lag. Jake Tapper adds, “Maybe this is what is meant by ‘leading from behind.’”

I've hung around plenty of Her Majesty's sailors and trust me, you will -not- be able to impress or out-drink them. They're used to pounding down those hefty brews. We're not.

Obie's face says "Where have you BEEN all day?!?" And yes, the misdating of the guest log is a -classic- sign of advancing alcoholism. I ought to know. This is the stage where that "laser focus" and having the abilities to be 'bored' w/ the things other mere mortals find 'challenging' starts to catch up with you!

As long as you're on a roll, no one notices. From this more advanced phase it seems like no time at all where not only can others notice ( it becomes ALL they 'notice'? ) Panic sets in. In fact it's now so recognized it's been given a clinical term: Alcoholic Anxiety, and our pResident's GOT it.

    Obama's cognizance has always lagged.

Damn teleprompter gave him the wrong date!!!

That TOTUS has a wicked sense of humor!

  5. SignPainterGuy on May 24th, 2011 6:52 pm

Heh heee ! TOTUS is such a kidder !

While I`m giving a nod to M_W`s expertise in the area, I`m also going to point to the Campaigner-in-Chief`s history of "other extracurricular activities" he`s well known for !

Doug alluded to the time when Duh Won "walked on water"………..It`s likely that time still exists in his mind !

Brits are well known for their drinking skills, as are Germans and Aussies. All are mischievous ! Fun as a barrel of monkeys !

"history of "other extracurricular activities" he`s well known for !"

( What___ever… is the man 'implying'..? ) Lol

According to realbeer.com Guinnie's clock in at 7.5% alcohol by vol. More than -twice- the avg. American beer. Closer to wine. Yet if you look at his jaw-set and overall facial expression, He is taking more than (1) gulp. Most of us would take a swig, have a deep breath and stand back to reflect.

Not the partier in chief ( not bugging w/ caps any more ) Another sure sign ( well rather one of the 'last' signs ) is the ability to gulp hard liquor. Anyone that can make air bubbles come up in that bottle are on a One-Way Street to a Half-Way HOUSE! This is where his non-TOTUS freeze ups come from.

Any loss of momentum = total shutdown. I would have kept going if it wasn't for 'that'.

Time Once Again to Play ‘Imagine if Bush Did This’

    Agreed!

But that only means that the majority of the presidents before this one (with a few exceptions) were of a higher moral caliber and expected to, and for the most part capable of, conducting themselves accordingly.

What is meant, among other things, by virtue of the fact that the MSM ignores this particular president’s garish failings of inappropriate public behavior and lack of leadership qualities and abilities is that they are aware this one is incapable of the rigorous self-discipline and innate personal qualities needed to hold the office in which he finds himself.

Much the same way the British public thinks of Prince Charles, with disgust upon him for his incapability’s to live according to his station. Even his own mother, the Queen recognizes his shortcomings and keeps him at arm’s length.

The MSM would rather indulge him at play as the court jester, the fool. He thinks of himself as something special rather than what he really is: an ink stain on pages of American history.

Yeah. And he's always clueless too!

While I`ve had nearly those exact thoughts, You have verbalized it so much better !
    Again, bravo !

Yeah, and has anyone taken a GOOD look at his personal "servant" butt-boy? They've been keeping him out of the pictures lately because he looks like he's right off the gang streets of Chicago.

Alcohol is not his only vice I bet. Here in Missouri, they would not sell him sudafed.

What he did to the Queen today at the toast, was even more embarrasing than signing 2008!

Winston Churchill is having a good laugh. And Marshall_Will is right.

Let's find his MONICA. You KNOW she is out there…

Do you actually think that Urkel could keep a tryst hidden from MooMoo without her performing some Bobbit action ? Just axxing ! Can`t help being curiass ! I wouldn`t chance the wrath of Meanchelle !

In the summer of `71, I visited and painted my Sis and BnL`s house in Boston. Melrose actually. They took me out for tours and eats; great sights, food and brews. Ruppert Nickerbocker (sp?) was my fave, found it here at Lum`s during college days. At 8%, it snuck up on you without mercy. Got my first and only speeding ticket after 2 very frosty mugs of RN. Oops ! Thank goodness, no DUI !

But "he's one of the most conscious people" Cheryl Crow has ever met.

  16. Marshall_Will on May 25th, 2011 11:29 am

    Hyper,

Never understood how she made it as a singer to begin with? Let alone spouting her dhim observations and expect them to be taken seriously?

  17. Marshall_Will on May 25th, 2011 11:31 am

"Let's find his MONICA. You KNOW she is out there… "

Interesting. Monica -or- Monty..? Either way, find we must. I agree, anyone ever think this why Meanchelle is so mean?

  18. Marshall_Will on May 25th, 2011 11:33 am

"The MSM would rather indulge him at play as the court jester, the fool."

And He ( in turn ) spins right around and says "Love you CRAZY!" to the LSM for doing him the favor of being judged on an entirely different scale!

I take it his ancestor was a community organizer too?
