That’s probably the most fun I’ve had writing a headline in weeks.

Anyway, President Obama is hosting a corrupt scumbag, and no, it’s not Charles Rangel. This particular “leader” has made billions while his people starved, which means the White House will most certainly give him a warmer greeting than they gave Benjamin Netanyahu.

UK Daily Mail:

Barack Obama has come under fire for extending a formal invitation to a shamed African dictator who has ruthlessly plundered billions of dollars from his own country.

The U.S. President will today have a coveted private meeting with President Ali Bongo of Gabon in the Oval Office despite his appalling track record [to be fair, it should be noted that Bongo has an appalling track record too -- DP].

Bongo’s family has ruled the impoverished African nation with an iron fist for five decades and have used its oil riches to fund a life of outrageous luxury.

Meanwhile one third of people in Gabon live on less than $2 a day and thousands starve to death each year or are forced to pick through garbage to find food.

More:

A Congressional report he [Senator Carl Levin] wrote last year showed that ‘the Bongos misused U.S. financial institutions to carry out suspicious transactions involving millions of dollars.’

Maybe Bongo’s in town interviewing for a cabinet position or to help provide oversight of Fannie and Freddie.

Lets keep maintaining pressure on President Obama, perhaps at the end i will feel the shame that doesn't disturb in any way Mr Ali Bongo from Gabon.

"Maybe Bongo’s in town interviewing for a cabinet position or to help provide oversight of Fannie and Freddie."

Lol, yeah I mean he's obviously more than qualified. You certainly couldn't expect your run o' the mill embezzler to handle that kind of volume? You did [2] years for a measly $100 grand? Puh-leeze.

And w/ Ferdinand Marcos bein' dead and all..?

Totally, hands on type stuff. You guys know that when Stanley Karnow wrote "In Our Image" ( a study of the corruption under Marcos in the Philippines ) that Ferdie was dabbling in black magic, 'shaman' type stuff?

He was getting blood transfusions… and seeing witch doctors etc. Somehow thinking he could prolong his reign. God forbid! Obie steals a 2nd term, he'll ditch Ayers and Alinsky's playbooks and trade 'em in for Marcos'.

As truly weird as that sounds, I can`t just dismiss it off-hand !

Ah but good ol' Imelda Marcos (1000 pairs of shoes) is still kickin. They elected her to the Philippine Congress. Go figure.

I knew her daughter, "Emmie" complete w/ fake t!ts ( and equally fake smile ) used name recog. to worm her way into a seat! After all, she's a Princeton Grad. But the Iron Butterfly!

I've always said, never knew why Imelda and FLOTUS weren't bestest shopping buddies? We kid around a lot but these fallen democracies have GOT to be in the Ayers/Obie playbook.

They're the only living examples of how to sweep freedom right out from under people's feet and then have them 'thank' you for it. People tend to forget that for his first dozen or so terms, Marcos was an amazingly popular pResident.

Caught your post on MM about the raid by the DOE (DOE???) I am for LEO and knew about the up-arming of the agencies from last year. Not good. I retired in 08. One reason for retirement was this.
    http://www.policeone.com/federal-law-enforcement/

My partner and I knew the cycle of looking for "criminals" inside the police was back. Holder made no qualms about it. Here's the question. Do you think he'll investigate the abuse by the DOE?

    Just saying…

It`s a start. I`ll believe it`s really serious when we see some real prosecutions. Let`s hope !

Also noticed the author is from Salon.com……..with a "progressive" bent ! Just sayin` ……

And NO, I don`t expect Holder to do anything a real AG should / would do…..especially against "his people" !!

Oh, THANK YOU for your LEO service and any other as well !
