While I’m convinced that Barack Obama will in desperation be forced to offer up a head to voters before the election next year (he sure as hell ain’t accepting the blame), but I’ll be surprised if it’s Sheriff Joe’s plug-riddled scalp.

Some disagree and are predicting that Biden’s not going to be on the ticket next November:

A Prominent Republican is joining a prominent Democrat in predicting that Gov. Cuomo will become President Obama’s running mate for vice president next year.

Former New York GOP boss William Powers, credited with playing a key role in electing Rudy Giuliani mayor and George Pataki governor, was effusive in his praise of Cuomo’s successes in the just-ended legislative session, and in his prediction of the freshman governor’s political future.

“Andrew had a fabulous session. It was fabulous. A property-tax cap, ethics reform and, for Democrats, gay marriage,” said Powers.

“I don’t think there’s any doubt Obama is going to pick him as his running mate. The president is in trouble and [Vice President Joseph] Biden doesn’t bring anything to his ticket.
Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown earlier this year also predicted that Obama would pick Cuomo to replace Biden, who he claimed would be named by the president to replace Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

From the way the White House has been praising him, maybe Biden’s replacement as Obama’s running-mate will be Mitt Romney.

Speaking of Biden, the VP has started using Twitter. Don’t get excited though — all Tweets will be written by staffers and not Biden. Dangit… and I was looking forward to an entirely new gaffe delivery system for Biden.

I agree. Palin got McCain closer than he would have otherwise. But he still lost to the big eared goober.

Ubama would have won against anyone. His 08 candidacy was a one time sure thing. Bush was the face of the republican party for 8 years and there was no way a republican was going to be elected after him. Like him or not the public couldn't get the media's image of Bush being a complete buffoon out of their head.

Running mates makes a difference, but only to a few. Think about it. If you say to yourself, "I might vote for so and so if I like his/her running mate" your candidate is in serious trouble.

A bit premature for a victory lap but I've mentioned here and at MM's there was a rift forming betwixt the Prog Love-fest. SOMEONE has to go down for The Failed Porkulus!!!

Who had a more direct hand in the SLEIGHT of hand leaving -billions- unaccounted for and ZERO jobs to SHOW for it!? From Rahm to Geithner, the defections.., MASS defections have thus far been voluntary. Plugs won't be so lucky.

In fact, it is my belief -HE- will get all or as much of the blame as possible. The license for the expanded role of the VP comes from the Prog self-appointed notion that 'Cheney was running the country'. But SJ won't go down without a fight. How to get him to step down without him turning State's Evidence..?
